In case you're not sure who we are, let's put it like this: we are the hippest, funkiest, coolest, awesomest Jewish Youth Movement in South Africa. We organise lots of exciting activities for kids aged 7 to 17 like ice skating, arts and crafts, picnics and education activities.
Our end of year Machaneh is where the most fun takes place. 3 weeks of hanging out with friends, making new friends and forming an identify for yourself. You see, that's what it's all about, Zehut (which in Hebrew means "Identity"). At Betar you're not just a number, you're a name and whole lot more than that. The Betar family is strong and full of people who have formed life long friendships from being part of the movement. Beyond that, Betar has a Zionist ideology, and we try to instill a love for the Jewish homeland, Israel, in every Jewish child.
